1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Data Peeps services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Data Peeps provides a platform for creating and managing knowledge bases, generating document embeddings, and performing semantic search through an API. We also operate a marketplace where users can buy and sell access to knowledge bases.

3. User Accounts

To use our services, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our services to:

• Upload or distribute illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt our services
• Resell or redistribute our services without authorization

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Data Peeps. By uploading content, you grant us a license to process, store, and serve that content as necessary to provide our services. We do not claim ownership of your documents or data.

6. Content Attribution & Citation

When you import content from third-party sources (including URLs, articles, and external publications) into your knowledge base, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Third-party content is incorporated as reference material only and does not constitute a claim of ownership over such content.
• All outputs generated by your knowledge base that draw upon third-party content will automatically include source citations attributing the original source. This citation behavior cannot be disabled for knowledge bases containing third-party content.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of third-party content complies with applicable copyright laws, licensing terms, and the intellectual property rights of the original content owners.
• Data Peeps does not assume liability for any intellectual property claims arising from your importation or use of third-party content.
• By importing third-party content, you represent that you have a lawful basis for using such material, whether through fair use, license, or other legal authorization.

7. Payment Terms

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Marketplace transactions are subject to our marketplace fee (30% of sale price).

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We will provide reasonable notice when possible.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Data Peeps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use our services will cease immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through our services. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
