Reclaiming the Narrative

People, companies, and organizations. On the internet, we are all data.

Think back—or do a little research—to over a decade ago. Everyone—people, companies, and organizations—was rushing to claim their names on every new site and social page that popped up. It was a scramble to find a way to articulate an identity to the rest of the world. It was about owning a corner of the web.

But while everyone was trying to tell their stories, companies were busy pulling that data. They pulled everything. They scraped details, “cookied” movements, and started building versions of us based on marketing inferences. The fact is, people and organizations represent themselves best when they tell their own story, not the story marketing departments make up for them.

How many times have you gone online and seen information about yourself or your company that’s ancient or just flat-out wrong? You aren’t a static profile from ten years ago.

Data Peeps is here to fix that.

Your Story, Not What They Infer

At Data Peeps, the belief is that a digital profile should be accurate and actually interactive. It should keep up with life as it happens.

If a person gets a new certification, they should be able to talk about it—how it felt to get it and why it matters. If an organization wins an award, they should be able to talk about it on their own terms. When a new skill is learned or a new service is launched, that story should be told through the lens of how it was actually applied.

The difference here is that you can actually talk to the profile to update it. From there, people, companies, and organizations can let others get to know them by chatting with their insights 24 hours a day. Because at the end of the day, when it comes to the internet, we are data. We are people and entities, but we are data peeps. This is where we finally control our own voice.

The Scraping Stops Here

The current internet is built for bots to crawl you. SEO algorithms and AI scrapers spend all day trying to figure you out so they can sell things or suggest “entities like you.”

That stops with us. Most of the data stays behind a knowledge base that the owner controls. An algorithm might pick up a name on our page, but the true identity—those deep ideas and proprietary knowledge—is behind a wall. It stays truly yours. People and organizations share what they want to share, and the rest is protected from being scraped into someone else’s marketing model.

A Real Community of Knowledge Sharers

This isn’t about the traditional “connect and follow” numbers game. Networking here is based on ideas and how people, companies, and organizations can collaborate to make those ideas better. Data Peeps is a community for those who want to own their narrative.

No Developers, No “Vibe Coding.” Just You.

The knowledge created is yours. Whether it represents a person, a company, or an organization, it should be shared freely.

No one should have to hire a developer to make their data work for them. No one should have to try and “vibe code” your way into a solution. We provide the tools so that data is just available—to the owner, to the development community, or to any chat mechanism like Claude or ChatGPT. If you want to interact with your data inside those tools, you should just be able to do it.

Our Take on an Old Problem

The struggle to own data is an old problem that no one has really solved yet. This is our take on it.

Data Peeps is about saying who we are. We are people, companies, and organizations—but on the internet, we are data, and that data is ours to control. We are reclaiming the narrative.
